6afdo (arithmetic frequency division of the octave), or 6odo (otonal division of the octave), divides the octave into six parts of 1/6 each. It is a superset of 5afdo and a subset of 7afdo. As a scale it may be known as mode 6 of the harmonic series or the Over-6 scale. (Budjarn Lambeth calls it the Freeway scale.idiosyncratic) In its root position, 6afdo is an effective system that contains several useful intervals such as 7/6, 4/3 and 3/2, although it lacks a major third.

Harmonics 6–12
Prime factorization 2 × 3
Fifth 9/6 (701.955c)

The harmonic segment 6::12 (also harmonics 6–12) consists of harmonics 6 through 12 (6:7:8:9:10:11:12) and spans one octave above the root. Used as a scale, it is also called mode 6 of the harmonic series. In its root position, it is an effective system that contains several useful intervals such as 7/6, 4/3 and 3/2, although it lacks a major third.
