576/575, the worcester comma, is a 23-limit superparticular comma of about 3 cents. It is the difference between two 6/5s and 23/16, as well as 24/23 and 25/24. By tempering it out is defined the worcester temperament, which enables the worcester chords.
Etymology
The name worcester was named by Kaiveran in 2023. The reasoning behind the name has unfortunately been forgotten.
Some speculative possibilities are that maybe it was named after the city of Worcester, England, or the city of Worcester, Massachusetts. Though it’s unclear how the comma relates to either of those places, so it’s possible it may have been named after something else entirely.
