A mega-edo is an edo of a large number of divisions. What qualifies as a mega-edo is subjective. At least, Dawson Berry and Flora Canou have recognized 159edo as a mega-edo in light of the "mega-" prefix's original definition of "very large in size, extent, capacity, or amount", but when one considers the "mega-" prefix in accordance with its SI definition, then even cents don’t literally qualify as a mega-edo as they only make 1200 equal divisions while the SI prefix “mega” means “million”.

The term was coined by Flora Canou in 2020.
