- Alternating generator property (see Rank-3 scale theorems)

- Equal division of n (ED2 = EDO, ED3 = EDT, ED3/2 = EDF, etc.)
- EDD
- Equal division of the diapason/ditave (synonym of EDO)
- EDF
- Equal division of the fifth (usually prefixed with a number, e.g. 9-EDF)
