English Wikipedia has an article on:

This is a simplified version of Wikipedia's navigation bar template.

Parameters

{{{1}}} (required)

One unnamed parameter, which is the full name of the page to link to.

text (optional)

Text preceding the navigation bar, often used to indicate the namespace.

For example:

{{navbar|Template:Navbar}}
{{navbar|Template:Navbar|text=This template:}}
{{navbar|12edo}}
{{navbar|12edo|text=This page:}}

give:

[[:|View]] • [[ talk:|Talk]] • Edit

This template: [[:|View]] • [[ talk:|Talk]] • Edit
