This is a style guide for temperament pages.
For guidance on how to expand or improve existing pages, this page's sections provide on what to include, and how to name each section. Sections should be added as needed. Sections in italics do not denote actual sections, but rather items to add in addition to existing sections or outside of any section.
| Note: | As this guide cannot account for every possible use case, editors are advised to use their best judgment on what to add or not. Additionally, nothing about this guide is set in stone; this guide can (and should!) be updated to fit current developments regarding temperament pages. |
Introduction
This precedes the first section. It should open with Template: Infobox regtemp. It should include a verbal description that uniquely identifies the temperament in question, preferably in the first paragraph. It must end with a link to the corresponding technical data page for the temperament, as well as a link to the dedicated page for extensions if there is one.
Theory
Interval chain or interval lattice
An interval chain table should be used for rank-2 temperaments. An interval lattice diagram should be used for rank-3 temperaments.
As a detemperament of n-et
If there is a small equal temperament fit for detempering, this subsection may be added.
Notation
Discussion on the notations for the temperament may be added here.

- Target tunings: tables for q-odd-limit minimax, least squares, and minimean tunings, and for DR and equal beating tunings may be added here.
- Tuning spectrum: a table that list edo tunings and eigenmonzo tunings by generator size may be added here.
