I'm trying to promote this guitar to non-microtonalists who don't know the "edo" acronym. I send them a link to this page. The first 3 paragraphs on this page are carefully written to avoid specialized lingo. That's why I define prime limit here. --TallKite (talk) 07:31, 3 November 2019 (UTC)

I don't think any non-microtonalists have ever heard of "tET". I support not having extra jargon, but sticking to EDO over tET isn't more jargon.--Wolftune (talk) 23:10, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_temperament "In classical music and Western music in general, the most common tuning system since the 18th century has been twelve-tone equal temperament (also known as 12 equal temperament, 12-TET or 12-ET)". Both 12-et and 12-et tuning get far more hits in google than 12-edo or 12-edo tuning. Same for 41-et vs. 41-edo.

I personally prefer EDO over ET, and certainly wouldn't call either term jargon. But EDO is definitely less widely used. I understand the benefits of standardizing the appearance of the xenwiki pages. How about if I change it to "41-ET (aka 41-edo)"? --TallKite (talk) 05:05, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
