I don't understand if anything was wrong about how it was before, or what advantage the new way has. As far as I know, ISO does not spell out how thin of a space should occur between quantities and units, only that the space should be thinner than a standard space. And cents aren't ISO anyway. But I prefer how this template worked previously, with the Narrow No-Break Space. I think the Hair Space (with no-break/no-wrap applied otherwise) is too thin.
