User:VectorGraphics/Tritave interval regions
We start by dividing the tritave into four large regions, termed "alpha", "beta", "gamma", and "delta" (which are reminiscent of the names of stars, think Alpha Centauri or Gamma Crucis, to fit with the general astronomical theme of tritave theory); the boundary between alpha and beta, and between gamma and delta, vary between 325-360 and 940-975h respectively, which create "interordinal" regions; the variance is due to an additional interordinal region starting at the unison or tritave and working inwards.
The remaining ranges, which are clearly alpha, beta, gamma, and delta, are divided into minor, supraminor, neutral, submajor, and major, creating 40-70 hekt regions roughly corresponding to steps of 26edt. The 13edt subsets of these (the minor, neutral, and major intervals) can be thought of as the basic interval categories: 2 alphas, 2 betas, 2 gammas, and 2 deltas form an enneatonic scale. The additional intervals provided by 26edt function like octaveful neutrals or interordinals.
These interval ranges are still, however, quite large, so extra granularity can be added by splitting each into three: small, medium, and large.
For reference, a just octave falls into the neutral gamma category, specifically around 820 hekts.
