Jacob talked about making a separate page for musical projects that is not the same page for bands. (Does such a page exist?)

I think they should maybe be the same page.

Jacob said something about them being separate encouraging people to start bands.

I dunno about trying to social engineer people into starting bands.

Bands seem cool if you've never been in bands. Bands are horrible, they're a determent to creativity 95% of the time. lol.

Also, and maybe more importantly, there's a lot of gray area of what is a band and what is a project, especially synth music, and especially in Xen.

Like Brendan Byrnes performs and records under his name as a solo artist. But has backup musicians sometimes. Same with Sevish. Isn't the same true with Cryptic Ruse?

I have a two-person project that works over the internet, but the structure is very much a band type structure. And is ongoing, and constant, like a band. We are always working on a song. Like all the time. + the other guy and I used to play in an actual rock band (guitar/bass/drums/voc), playing live in the same room, back in the day. And this grew out of that.

Tall Kite and Löis record as solo artists, but with other people. etc. etc. etc.

I really think that bands and projects should be on the same page. Not sure what to call it. Probably "projects." --Michael W. Dean / Michael Feen / BipTunia SyntheticThought (talk) 03:26, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
