Stretched octave may refer to:
- Equave: an interval which equates other intervals to each other, forming a ‘bookend’ for a scale - the octave plays this role in classical 12edo theory but other intervals may be used as an equave too
- Stretched and compressed tuning: making all the intervals in a tuning uniformly wider or narrower in order to better approximate a desired subset of JI or to achieve some other effect
