The parahemif comma, also known as hemif comma, is a small 7-limit (specifically 2.3.7-subgroup) comma measuring about 12.2 cents. It is the difference between 49/48 and the Pythagorean comma, between the Pythagorean apotome and a stack of two 28/27's, and between the 17-comma and a stack of two 64/63's.

Temperaments

Tempering out this comma in the 2.3.7 subgroup leads to the hemif temperament, and in the full 7-limit, the 7-limit version of the parahemif temperament.
