Purpose of this category?

These are specifically for characters which may need to be escaped because of MediaWiki syntax. See also Template:Escape template list. Other character templates are simply shortcuts, or pointers that allows for tweaks to be made in the future (e.g. adjust size, spacing, etc. depending on the font), should that be necessary. --Fredg999 (talk) 15:55, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
