30/1, the 30th harmonic, is the harmonic past 29/1 and before 31/1. It is about four octaves and eleven semitones in size. Used in harmony, it sounds particularly wide: if the base note is F1, the higher note will be about E6. That is for all practical purposes beyond the range of choral music. However, it remains useful in some instrumental solos and ensembles. 30 is a largely composite number, so this harmonic can be approached in various ways of stacking, such as 1–2–3–5–6–10–15–30, on which higher-limit intervals can be added to enrich its colors.
