Flashmic chords

Revision as of 20:18, 6 June 2023 by Eliora (talk | contribs) (correction and improvement)

Flashmic chords are essentially tempered dyadic chords tempered out by the flashma, 12376/12375, a comma associated with precise systems that model high-limit JI.

Currently, a few flashmic chords are known:

  • 28/15 - 26/25 - 34/33, with tempering 15/14 ~= 26/25 * 34/33
  • 15/14 - 25/17 - 33/26
  • 28/25 - 52/33 - 17/15
  • 28/25 - 26/15 - 34/33
  • 33/28 - 15/13 - 25/17 (most evenly distributed)
  • 56/33 - 26/25 - 17/15
