The Protected template adds a message box to inform readers that a page is protected from editing. It also places the page in Category:Protected pages.
Please note that only administrators can protect pages. Placing this template on a page will not make it protected.
This template is a very simplified version of Wikipedia: Template:Pp.
Usage
This template should be placed at the top of protected pages without any argument.
