Really a misnomer?

"A common misnomer for 5L 5s, a MOS pattern" -- This idea seems quite new [1] but the actual usage seems top contradict it. Is there a broader consensus? --Xenwolf (talk) 07:45, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

I concur that when used to refer to the scale pattern, "blackwood" alone is a misnomer; only "blackwood[10]" would match. I think we should update this page to correspond with the way this confusion has been handled on the mavila and father disambiguation pages. --Cmloegcmluin (talk) 15:55, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
