How would one mathematically describe the inverse of the operation described here?

That is, the conversion of cents to frequency ratios?

I'm working on a potential psychoacoustic temperament norm based on beat rates and I'm not good at logarithms.

Simple ratios (like 3:2 or 5:4) could be a problem, but to find the ratio between two frequencies that are given by a cent value is easy: frequency_ratio = pow(2, cents/1200)
