The 47-limit consists of just intonation intervals whose ratios contain no prime factors higher than 47. It is the 15th prime limit and is a superset of the 43-limit and a subset of the 53-limit.
These things are contained by the 47-limit, but not the 43-limit:
- The 47-, 49-, and 51-odd-limit;
- Mode 24, 25 and 26 of the harmonic or subharmonic series.
It is the highest prime limit that can be represented with Helmholtz–Ellis notation.
Music

- End Permian: The Great Dying (2022)
- End Cretaceous - Begin Paleocene (2022)
- End Anthropocene: A Once Beautiful Creation (2022)
