The blue dwarf scale is a 6-tone, octave-repeating scale containing the following pitches:

  • 568.717
  • 700.027

It is a subset of the Dwarf17marv scale.


It sounds melodically similar to the familiar minor blues scale of 12edo, but harmonically very different, avoiding the familiar 5th harmonic entirely and using exotic 2.3.7.11 intervals such as 7/6, 11/8 and 7/4.
