Equave (/ˈiːkwɪv/ EE-kwiv or /ˈiːkwəv/ EE-kwəv) is a suggested shorter term for "interval of equivalence" or "equivalency interval". In octave-equivalent scales, the equave is the octave. In Bohlen-Pierce, the equave is 3/1. In edfs, the equave is 3/2.
