Normally a rotation of a JI chord either ''doesn't'' change its root (inverting C major is still C major), or ''does'' change its characterization ([[128:160:180:225]] is a “French sixth”, but its rotation [[180:225:256:320]] is a “dominant seventh flat five”). These rotations are unusual in that the altered root shares the same conventional characterization.

I'd like to be able to index the chords in JI scales (such as the [[duodene]]) by tuples of <root, character>, so I think it's useful to keep separate chord pages for the specific augmented-rotation chords — but I should probably link to the 16: rotation and emphasize that connection.
