Hear Between The Lines is a YouTube channel created by Freddi and Rami, two Hamburg-based musicians who explore microtonality together.

The channel is responsible for the coinage of terms such as

  • "flarp" for "flat sharp" or semisharp symbol
  • "shat" for "sharp flat" or semiflat symbol
  • "fries" for sesquisharp symbol (due to its shape)
  • "heart" for sesquiflat symbol (due to its shape)
  • Fifthtone, Chromatone, and Diatone, for 1\31, 2\31, and 3\31 octave respectively
