Eliora
Eliora Mercury (born February 12, 2002), is a Ukrainian-Irish music theorist, composer, and a singer. She has been a performing musician since the age of 7, and studied the piano at an 8-year art school from 2009 to 2017.
Musical style
Eliora's musical style primarily involves EDOs with a large number of divisors, and harmonic, regular temperament, or just intonation-based approach is of secondary thought.
A fair share of her compositions are composed in their temperaments for the first time in history. For example Mercury Spectrum Interlude is composed in Eliora’s original Mercury spectrum scale.
Structure-wise, Eliora's music is inspired by bands like Within Temptation, Epica, Evanescence, and Nightwish.
Mercury Amalgam
She is the lead vocalist and so far the only member of the symphonic metal band Mercury Amalgam, and she also composes all the guitars, bass, drums, and orchestra. The debut album, The Aftermath - Pops, was released on July 19, 2022. The lyrical themes are mostly political and societal, mostly concerning issues such as regressive deterioration of society over the late 2010s-2020s decade. The album also contains a non-album series of songs, The Molecular Agoge, with lyrics about biological instincts.
