Heptameride
Is the Heptameride the same as "the Eptaméride or Savart: 1\301 of an octave"

Octave/N parts?
Why this change? "Octave/N parts" makes less sense than "1/N of an octave".

I think, we should change it back.

What is not it obvious? Apart from being shorter, is more understandable for those who are just venturing to the Microtonalism (Xenharmony).

OOps, I changed it back right now :-/
- xenwolf June 15, 2011, 01:16:51 PM UTC-0700
I think, the ocatve/N notation assumes that octave is a logarithm, but this is not as usual.
What now?
- xenwolf June 15, 2011, 01:20:02 PM UTC-0700
Well, thats right, because the units of measure musical intervals deals with the 'N' EQUAL parts of the Octave and I imagine that the 'Oct/N parts' seemed adequate, nothing more.

Before we argue here for notations...
...what about writing down some more details of the units named here?
...hey wait! did you just started a new wiki? :) What is it about?
- xenwolf June 15, 2011, 01:49:14 PM UTC-0700
It's about purdals, apparently.
- genewardsmith June 15, 2011, 02:10:55 PM UTC-0700
Why a new wiki?!
- hstraub June 16, 2011, 12:44:09 AM UTC-0700
Maybe by mistake?
- xenwolf June 16, 2011, 12:49:42 AM UTC-0700
OK, I copied the Purdal page form the purdal.wikispaces.com inside this wiki here.

in my opinion, further wikis aren't so bad -
wikispaces provides easy interwiki syntax :)
