The second simplest possible Hexany, offset by a major third or minor sixth. This creates a scale of 1 9/8 6/5 5/4 4/3 3/2 8/5 5/3 9/5 15/8 2/1, with steps of 9/8 16/15 25/24 16/15 9/8 16/15 25/24 27/25 25/24 16/15. This is the simplest of three different ways of expanding the base hexany out that has two duplicated notes, reducing it to a 10 note scale. It contains the full diatonic scale and 7 perfect fifths, but also has two that are flat by a syntonic comma, which means the D and Bb chords are wolf ones. This means many, but not all common practice songs can be translated to this scale without the untempered commas causing issues, with ones written in the Dorian mode particularly likely to sound wrong without further alterations.
