Even though works should be analyzed and talked about in more nuanced terms than ratings, ratings are a valuable thing to keep track of. This is because compiled ratings can provide the best estimations of what music is the most worthwhile to listen to. By leaving a rating, you are contributing positively to people's ability to find enjoyable xen music.
Rate any xenharmonic work on the talk page from 0 to 5. You may rate both larger projects and songs from those projects. If a song is part of a larger project, we ask that you name it as [LARGER PROJECT]: [SONG]. If the creator is a person posting music under their real name, please use the last name only unless there is a need for disambiguation between people with the same last name. If the creator has a xen wiki account, do not link that account. Feel free to write it in the Notes section.
If you do not have an account, message me on the XA Discord @hyperbolekillsme with your ratings.
Write your ratings in the talk page in the same form as the examples there. If you want to provide a work's tuning, link, or notes if you are the first person to rate it, create a row at the bottom of the table without filling in the "R" or "#" columns. (If you're wondering how you can translate your thoughts about each work into ratings, the hypothetical ratings of all the xen music you've listened to, including music so bad it’s not worth rating, should follow a uniform distribution from 0 to 5. This means that a 3/5 is a good score. Alternatively, you can decide to not rate things this way--I wouldn't be able to tell)
Ratings are compiled once a day at least. Ratings displayed here are averaged with 0 and 5 as per this 3blue1brown video. The following table is created with this program. This should ideally be a bot, but I think I need permission to create those. Hopefully it's easily adaptable into a bot.
