Orwell is a temperament that's definitely worth including here. However, should the 7- and 11-limits be included seperately, or should it just be put in the 11-limit section?--Overthink (talk) 23:45, 25 October 2025 (UTC)

2.3.7 Buzzard

It is placed into medium accuracy because "specifically, its interval of 7 barely violates the 4 ¢ bound". However, I think they only looked at 111edo tuning, and CTE and CWE give errors of 3.992 ¢ and 3.676 ¢ respectively, with 9-odd-limit minimax being 3.424 ¢. 13-limit buzzard should have 7/4 as a bound-violating interval, as 15-odd-limit minimax is 4.091 ¢. Still, 11/7 shouldn't be bound-violating, as seen by the 121/3 eigenmonzo tuning, which only has 7/4 violate the bound in the 15-odd-limit. In general, temperaments should be classified by the tunings that minimize the number of bound-violating intervals (possibly to zero), not ones supported by EDOs.--Overthink (talk) 16:24, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
