Octave Period Step Generated Scales or OSG scales are scales which are generated by one of it's step sizes and have a period of 2/1. These scales each share similar properties and have a someone similar sound to each other. Equal Scales such as 6 edo are not considered OSG scales.

Properties of OSG Scales

OSG Scales are nearly equal but with one step size being varying in order to complete the octave.

Five Tone OSG
