I know I use the term "ambisonance" to refer to intervals in the middle of the spectrum between consonance and dissonance, as well as for intervals that are both consonant and dissonant at the same time but in different ways.  For example, I think of 7/4, 8/7, 11/8, 16/11, 13/8 and 16/13 as ambisonances. --Aura (talk) 22:22, 5 September 2025 (UTC)

Ambisonance

I know I use the term "ambisonance" to refer to intervals in the middle of the spectrum between consonance and dissonance, as well as for intervals that are both consonant and dissonant at the same time but in different ways. For example, I think of 7/4, 8/7, 11/8, 16/11, 13/8 and 16/13 as ambisonances. --Aura (talk) 22:22, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
