+Kite's provided reason for changing the ploidacots back to pergens is that it is "much simpler to use actual numbers", ignoring that ploidacot has a syntax for that exact purpose ("#-sheared" replacing the Greek letter, where # is the number in Arabic numerals). My proposal is that we rescue the ploidacots, but use the "sheared" syntax in most cases. I also propose we retain the Greek letters in some of the more intuitively understandable cases.
+Option 1) Retain greek letters for alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, and omega. Digamma and above are replaced with "sheared" as that is where the Greek letters' corresponding numbers break from the simple ordering of the greek alphabet.
