The term subchromatic[idiosyncratic term] has several meanings.
- Small, nondiatonic dimensions of higher-rank extended-diatonic temeraments.
- Small, nondiatonic accidentals (regardless of whether it is tempered out or not) in some extended diatonic notations.
- Generator interval smaller than chromatic in your context.
