Revision as of 14:01, 16 November 2024

Bryan Deister has used the following layout (as demonstrated in In Your Hands (microtonal 24edo) (alt layout)). According to discussion in the comments, it should be 7 steps right and 4 steps up; with the 0 point in the lower left corner; however, something seems off between what is shown in the video and what is below, so I am putting this in the Talk for Lumatone mapping for 24edo (instead of in the real article), pending verification.

Lucius Chiaraviglio (talk) 08:53, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

The first thing that seems off to me is that the root ("0") notes (A or C, depending on where you start) are either very down low or very high up on the keyboard, along with the diatonic scale being rather awkward to play with the whole tones moving vertically up. Maybe starting the layout with the "0" at or close to the middle would improve things.
