Lefts and rights notation (<>) is a notation for just intonation primarily developed by CompactStar.
Explanation
All intervals are represented as a sequence of lefts/rights and a degree. The degree is determined by direct 7edo mapping. Left (abbreviated <) indicates flatness and right (abbreviated >) indicates sharpness.
