An arithmetic MOS scale (AMOS) or frequency MOS scale (FMOS) is a periodic scale in which, within one period, the differences between consecutive frequencies come in two size. Unlike with standard MOS scales, rotating an arithmetic MOS may not result in another arithmetic MOS.
