The simplest and most consonant chord mathematically possible which contains three notes. It only contains two pitch classes, so it is classified as a dyad; and is the simplest inversion of a power chord.

It is approximated with less than two cents of total error in 12edo, so it may be used to create an open, stable, and powerful sound in western composition.

Temperaments and EDOs which favor the third harmonic, most notably 12edo and 29edo, will approximate this chord quite well. Likewise, temperaments like superpyth and meantone, which do not favor the third harmonic, will approximate this chord more poorly.
