969/968, the kingfisher comma, is a 19-limit superparticular comma of about 1.79 cents. It is the amount by which a stack consisting of 22/17 and 22/19 falls short of 3/2. By tempering it out is defined the kingfisher temperament, which enables the kingfisher chords.
Etymology
This comma was first described by Xenllium in 2023, but the name kingfisher comma was given by Budjarn Lambeth in 2025. It refers to LEGO Icons model #10331, the Kingfisher Bird.
