: They are rather different, in fact. ADO (aka [[Harmonotonic tuning|harmonic series segment]], aka [[overtone scale]], aka [[Primodality|lineal segment]], etc.) describes a contiguous set of harmonics spanning an octave, while a Ringer scale would be a subset which satisfies the criteria mentioned in the article ([[constant structure]], and representing the largest possible continuous sequence of harmonics). On the [[Carlos harmonic scale]] page, it says that scale is a ringer scale. If it is, should it be added to the list of ringer scales on this page?
