Undertone

Since overtone is used much broader, wouldn't undertone be a better counterpart? It could be better to discuss this in a larger community (facebook?). --Xenwolf (talk) 06:29, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Well, to be frank, if "overtone" is the category used for harmonics, then "undertone" is the counterpart. However, if "harmonic" is the category used for harmonics, then "subharmonic" is the category for subharmonics. Truth be told, the latter pair differ from the former pair in that the latter pair both include 1/1.
