Hello there

Do you no longer use the Discord? I'd like to discuss the recent additions to Module:Infobox ET. FloraC (talk) 08:05, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

I am unable to use Discord for a while (reason is private). Anyways, if you are referring to the "major third" addition, because Fredg999 alreadyy decided to remove that. CompactStar (talk) 23:01, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

Neuk comma

What was the origin of the name "neuk comma"? We need to know to resolve the outstanding thread in Talk:Neuk comma. --BudjarnLambeth (talk) 07:38, 11 March 2025 (UTC)

It's been a long time but I heavily doubt it was intended to be the Dutch swear word, probably this https://www.dictionary.com/browse/neuk and it was chosen arbitrarily as a word that sounds kind of like "neutral", so it's not a very great name anyways. Someone can rename it if they want. CompactStar (talk) 04:30, 19 March 2025 (UTC)

Insane idea for a new xenverse

Hello, this post is just to make sure you know I'm still alive.

Anyway, introducing Earth#Daseian-Heptatonic. Each pitch consists of a coordinate where the first pitch is the octatonic nominal name and the second pitch is the heptatonic nominal name. However, the Daseian system with effectively 16 nominals got simplified to an eight-note system: ABCQDEFG.

Hence the octatonic scale becomes:

Heptatonic: G A Bb C D E F G A B C D E F# G A
Octatonic: A B C Q D E F G A B C Q D E F G

The coordinates become (G, A), (A, B), etc.

And the heptatonic scale becomes:

Heptatonic: G A B C D E F G A B C D E F G A
Octatonic: A B C# Q D E F G A B C Q D Eb F G

The fundamental theorem of algebra implies a unique representation for each Pythagorean pitch.

More insane idea: Earth#5ed7: POD 2038. Doomsday (2038) causes the entirety of music to be destroyed by billionaires who can't stand art. The remaining musicians on the earth contain a singular mathematician who just happens to work in tuning theory. Due to the scarcity of materials, the musicians think of engineering the smallest possible usable tuning, and so 5ed7 was found in a crappy computer search. 2^67-1 (talk) 01:43, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
