Meaning of last sentence

"Note that the TE norm for this val is approximately 31." I don't understand what this sentence is trying to tell me about this fact. Is it a coincidence? What is the significance? Is this unexpected, or unusual? --Cmloegcmluin (talk) 22:12, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

Any "good" (meaning: it tries to approximate the JI) val is expected to have the TE norm [complexity] close to its division of the octave. It is the complexity of the temperament and can be used to compute the TE relative error. FloraC (talk) 07:21, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
