This template should not be substituted.

The forbidden template is used to mark external links if a website returns an HTTP 403 ("forbidden") error upon attempting to access it.

📝Note: You can use {{403}} as a shortcut.

If you encounter a link to an external 403 Forbidden page, try to repair it. If this is not possible, append {{forbidden}} or {{403}} to it.

This causes the affected pages to be included into Category: Pages containing dead links.
