2430/2401, the nuwell comma, is a small 7-limit comma measuring about 20.8 cents. It is amount by which four septimal minor thirds 7/6 fall short of a major seventh 15/8.
Temperaments
Tempering out this comma alone in the 7-limit leads to the nuwell temperament.
Etymology
The name nuwell was given by Gene Ward Smith in 2005 as a contraction of nusecond and orwell[1].
