Transcendental numbers are numbers which are not expressable as a root of an algebraic polynomial, that is numbers which can't be steps of an equal division.
This wiki will adopt a stricter definition: Numbers which can't be expressed as a root of an algebraic polynomial and also as a logarithm number, otherwise every just intonation interval would be considered transcendental.
