Introduction for readers
This wiki is about musical tuning.
That field is many things to many people. General theory is a good place to start your reading.
We also have a guide for learning about tunings on the internet, and a few different takes on some common misconceptions encountered in microtonal studies.
The pages on the left sidebar will get you eventually to most pages on the wiki, but there is also the recent changes page, and the index of all pages.
Feel free to ask questions and provide your own answers as you learn about microtonality.
Introduction for editors
Xenharmonic Wiki: Five pillars summarises this wiki's fundamental principles. The most important thing is to write good accurate information, add reliable sources, and work nicely with others.
The content on almost every page is editable by you. But first:
- Sign up: Help:How to get your Xenharmonic Wiki account
- Play in the SandBox to get the hang of editing.
- If you are new to the wiki: When creating new pages, try drafting them in your user space first before publishing them — seek feedback from other editors by adding the following line to the bottom of your page:
{{todo|feedback request}}
Go to Help:Introduction (also accessible from the sidebar using the "Help" link) for more resources to check out as you get started, including this wiki's policies and guidelines and a list of all help pages.
