:::# The thing here is the lack of other temperaments tempering out this comma (yet, although nobody seems to be interested in such high-limit commas). Especially in higher limits, there seems to be no information about any established temperaments. And thus the overall problem begins again. Someone has to propose a name, the establishment of the topic is uncertain, and some may even ask why bother tempering out especially these commas nobody cares about? Then the whole point is kind of obsolete. Sorry if this got too philosophic. I'm just a random creature which knows nothing about anything but still likes to explore obscure things.

::: I think Sintel's first point was that the differences are technically (mathematically) quotients. Imo difference is the better term cuz we're talking about intervals, for which the frequency ratios are but a representation.
::: I've set all asteroid names as placeholders in the categories. I can make that more explicit in the Temperament naming article, if we want to. FloraC (talk) 13:57, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
:::: Unfortunately Xenllium is not really a great example to follow. Generally for commas it is helpful to note things similar to 176/175, where it says "It is the amount by which 11/7 exceeds two 5/4's stacked". These are musically relevant relations that people can understand immediately.
:::: It is true that there is generally less interest in high-limit commas, and probably for good reasons.
:::: Using my search tool (e.g. like this), you may find that the comma is useful for constructing higher limit extension of popular temperaments such as meantone, miracle, marvel, etc. I believe this would be of more interest to the general audience of the wiki.
:::: EDIT: Ignore my point about differences, it's fine I just got confused.

::::: Unfortunately the low interest in higher-limit commas leads me to be interested in them. But thanks for the helpful tips, I will consider them in the future. Francium (talk) 14:09, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
