From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_temperament "In classical music and Western music in general, the most common tuning system since the 18th century has been twelve-tone equal temperament (also known as 12 equal temperament, 12-TET or 12-ET)". Both 12-et and 12-et tuning get far more hits in google than 12-edo or 12-edo tuning. Same for 41-et vs. 41-edo.

I personally prefer EDO over ET, and certainly wouldn't call either term jargon. But EDO is definitely less widely used. I understand the benefits of standardizing the appearance of the xenwiki pages.
