Bruce Hamilton is a composer/percussionist/electronic musician living in Bellingham, Washington, USA. He teaches at Western Washington University, co-directs the B'ham Electronic Arts Festival (BEAF), and runs the Spectropol micro/netlabel. Hamilton has been composing, improvising, and recording with xenharmonic temperaments and scales since 2009. Some of his albums feature xenharmonic/microtonal music, most notably Compulse (as Skiks), an all-microtonal release on the split-notes netlabel. Spectropol has released several xen/microtonal albums, including those by Joe Evans, Dan Stearns, Paul Rubenstein, City of the Asleep, Brendan Byrnes and Joel Taylor, as well as the Possible Worlds compilation series (2011, 2013, 2014, 2019).
