1-3-5-81 hexany
A 5-limit Hexany, comprised three simple numbers and one highly factorial one. This creates a scale of 1 135/128 5/4 81/64 5/3 27/16 2/1, with steps of 135/128 32/27 81/80 320/243 81/80 32/27. Rather than tempering out the syntonic comma like the conventional diatonic scale, this makes the subtle shifts between close intervals a critical part of the sound, as you have two perfect 3/2's, one that is flat by a syntonic comma and one that is wide by the same amount. The 5/3 has a 5 limit minor chord and 3-limit major chord above it, while the 27/16 inverts that with a 5-limit major chord and a 3-limit minor chord, making these two notes clearly the most rooted ones even if some ears may struggle to distinguish between them.
