The aristoschisma is an unnoticeable 7-limit comma measuring about 1.85 cents. It is the difference between the septischisma and the schisma, as well as the difference between the septimal quartertone and a stack of two Pythagorean commas.

Tempering out this comma in the 7-limit leads to the rank-3 aristoschismic temperament, which sets the Pythagorean comma to the mean of the syntonic comma and the septimal comma.
Etymology
This comma was named by Flora Canou in 2026 as a counterpart of the aberschisma, from Greek aristo- ("best") and schisma.
